Verified vs. sample data

On this site, VERIFIED means a number was extracted from the brand's actual FDD filing or a federal record; sample data is labeled placeholder content and never citable.

Every brand page tells you which kind of data you're looking at. VERIFIED figures come from a real, named source — the brand's FDD Item 20 filing, the SBA's FOIA loan file, or Department of Labor enforcement records — and each page links to that source.

Brands we haven't extracted yet may show clearly-labeled sample data so you can see how the page works. Sample figures are never used in rankings and should never be quoted. When a brand doesn't disclose something, we say "Not Disclosed" — we never estimate or fill in a number.
