In its latest FDD Item 20 (fiscal 2025), DENNY'S reported 1,212 franchised outlets at year end. 72 of 1,273 franchised outlets open at the start of the year left the system — an annualized exit rate of 5.7%— while 12 new outlets opened. Systemwide units moved -9.5% over 2023–2025.
